cosplay?

Hi ! can someone inform an tragically unhip craftster what "cosplay" is all about? Im assuming its short for costumes to do that role playing stuff in? LOL.. I see some really cute things but sont wuite understand it all... Have some young friends in"Larp" or something similar but too polite to admit I dont know what the heck they are talking about!

Cosplaying is usually when people dress up as an anime character, it's most commonly seen at anime or comic conventions

Cosplay is kind of like when people dress up like their favorite cartoon characters. They go all out, wigs, contacts, diy weapons/accessories... I think it's really cool Happy
I don't do it, but a lot of my friends do haha

ohh.. now i see... LOl.. my nickname is mamagnome.. I even have a tall.. red ..hat.. and a pink one too.. that im known to toss on with my overalls before I go to garden stores...I like to unnerve the natives a bit..My husband wears crazy knitted socks and elf hats I make and dear daughter is always dressed to t he nines in what she considers the latst "paris' fashion..(shes 21 and special needs) we are quite the picture when we head to walmart sometimes...(thats oneof my elf hats in my pic..done in a multi color soft barely spun yarn from Peru.)
