introduce me to a new craft. inspire me!

i already do..
*LOTS of jewellery making, i especially love charm bracelets
*glass-painting, with outline stickers mostly, on jamjars and tealight holders
*painting in general with acrylic paints in bright colours
*fabric paints onto canvas daps, and t-shirts too
*making small hand-sewed items like purses and pouches
*i knit basic things when i feel patient enough
*make little beads and charms out of fimo when i have the time and am in the right mood
*i used to make cards a lot more than i do now, but i still do sometimes
*doodling and drawing
*shrink plastic
*glue guns are awesome
*and a couple of others im sure too, that ive forgotten!

anyone have any ideas they can suggest for either a new type of craft to do, or a different style of crafting to try out (at the mo, i would say that i dont have a particular style)

also if anyone could explain what steampunk/kawaii/any other style of crafting you do is, that would be awesome too Happy

It's hard to think of something to suggest for you to do as you already dabble in most things XD

This is fun to try. I did it for a while. http://www.balloon-animals.com/

Have you tried quilling yet? It's a simple and addicting paper craft.

Try making your own journals and notebooks. There are loads of ways to do it simply and cheaply at home, google stab binding, or coptic stitch. There are video tutes for both those and for making art journals on youtube.
Make little plushies, felt is cheap and easy to work with. It's easy to make one from a picture, you just trace the outline and use it as a pattern.

Don't worry about not having anything new to do ^^ Even while just working with beads I was always fascinated by the realm of possibilities that open up. And sorry if I mention something that you already do. I'll just try to write about as many things that weren't explicitly mentioned as possible ;o) You could try:

~ different bead stitches. There are plenty of them: peyote, brick, herringbone, ... Those are magic. Just try to google images of something like peyote stitch tutorial. And there are LOTS of resource on the internet
~ bead embroidery (google again for images)
~ embroidery in general. If you don't pick up complex time-consuming cross stitch pattern, it can be really simple way of decorating. Especially japanese embroidery books have nice projects (that is, nice in my opinion ^^'). And ladies (mostly) at radicalcrossstitch.com are taking embroidery to a different level ;o)
~ doll making. If you've got favourite character - be it from film or anime or whatever - then it's fun to do. There are many of those dolls on deviantart.com
~ don't know how you feel about cooking but it feels like craft to me as well because I can play around ^^ Have a look at www.bakerella.com

That's all I can think of right now. But surely there is much more! Have a look around. Go for deviantart.com craft section or look around here, at cut out + keep, craftster.org or Etsy. They are sure to inspire you!

I love embroidery and bead embroidery. Happy

Also, don't be afraid to throw a few different crafty ideas together! I tend to use beads and fimo together, and I also embroider on many of my sewing and even knitting projects.

I'm considering making an attempt to knit with embroidery thread....??? Maybe you should try it first so I don't kill myself with frustration! xD

Also check out Essex Debs tutorial for Inchies - they're are a great way of experimenting with different stitches, beading etc. Plus I've tried combining crafts and have done quite a bit of crocheted jewellery using beads.
