My other is in labour and she still doesn't know what to name the kid. It's a boy, and should be arriving between now and tomorrow morning.

This is my first new topic post thing so if it's in the wrong place sorry Happy

It seems names that are different are popular these days, but they never are different for long! I like what Heather C posted with all of the traditional old fashion names. Reminds me of when men were gentlemen!

@Nora C. LOL, Jared and Jensen...Supernatural fan much? My favorite boy name(if I have a son, this will be his name) is Callum. My fiance wants our hypothetical son's middle name to be Link, after the hero of the Legend of Zelda games(he has the triforce tattooed on his wrist.) I got Callum from Callum Blue(Dead Like Me is one of my favorite shows). I also like Atticus(as in To Kill a Mockingbird), Patrick(after my baby brother-he's 21), Sebastian....hmmm...I'm better on girls' names, cuz I have one...my ex husband wanted to have a son named Brendan Adrian Nathaniel(his last initial is G, so his initials would spell Bang).
I like Xander and Jasper, too. My brother wants a son named Felix. I tend to lean towards Gaelic/Irish/Scots names or Greek names. My daughter's name is Sofia Susannah. My next(hopefully) daughter will be Evangeline, with either Ada or Willow as her middle name. Or perhaps Celeste, after my late grandmother.
Oh, old fave boy names of mine--
Seth
Ian
Breck or Breckin
Simon

SparrowFae...Callum is one of the most popular names here in Scotland...along with Lewis, Gavin,Alistair, Andrew, Scott, Ross, Aiden, Arran....
My nephews are Dylan, Callum, Grant, Connor, Max, Aiden, Stuart and Corey ( Corey is named after a Canadian relative) . There seems to be a return to more old fashioned names now, Two girls I know have called their little boys Sam and Archie

if i'd be a guy, i'd be called Samuel. or Sam, in short.
it was the name of a kid i met in the hospital when we were at the children's heart department of the hospital.
i'd say don't give him a to weird name-it can be very annoying, kids can pick on/tease you with your name. and people can spell it wrong >_<
but i kinda liked the name Elliot.
idea: don't call the kid socrates, plato, archibald, rené, or fruitcake.
jonas is a nice name, too?
