Zoom Facility on Photographs

Hi there fellow crafters

I thought I would post this in Chit Chat as I've noticed not many of us get to the bottom of the page. Probably something catches our eye before we get there.

The zoom function is brilliant. I'm not sure how long it's been there. I found it by accident.

Don't know if you have tried it out yet. Click on a project picture and it zooms in.

Just click on the X in top left corner to strink it back down.

It means no more posting projects sideways to see them LOL x

Hy Sheila! Do you mean when you click on the picture and it pops out of the "frame" ?
Im sure its there since I registered (october last year) I use it on every project.I love it too,Its great on a how to,because there are small details that you can see with it.

That's not news to me, I've always known to click on the pick to better see it. I thought people knew that, but obviously not because someone was always asking about not cropping the pic in their post after it was posted. I don't know how many times I said here somewhere on the board to just click on the pick to see it and that it's not cropped. So yeah, it's been a feature way before last year; I knew of it when I became a member in 2008, probably has been since the site was established.

Yes that's it. It isn't made obvious that it's there. I've come across people who don't know it's there.

That's true Sheila that it's not made obvious, but I've been online for almost 10 years and it just became common knowledge to me to try clicking on any picture, so it was just happenstance when I figured it out. Guess we could request that they put that somewhere under the pic or something so everyone will know it's there.

Ah, there's nowt so common as common knowledge. Lol (bit of Yorkshire snuck in there)

I'm one of the oldies that learnt to use a computer without a mouse and had to use Ctrl , Alt & other 'F' command keys. There may be others like me ( a true retro who was there at ticker tape level ;-D)

It would be good to 'advertise' it somehow if it's possible as I've seen a few sideways photo's on projects and there's so much to look at when you first join that some bits can get overlooked.

Yeah, I hate those sideways pix, I luckily I can tilt my laptop on its side. LOL
