A little dog help

my parents just got a 5 year old dog from a friend for my neice for christmas. The only thing is that he has some issues,

one he growls anytime you touch one of his toy's then trys to bite you.

he hates his ears being touched(but that because of a nasty infection- no worries we are taking him to the vet for it-and to get fixed.

He also loves to sent everything in the house.

I guess our thing is how do we get him over the growl then bite issue.

I'm guessing you'd just need to, as harsh as it might sound, show the dog it's place. What I mean is that it needs to recognize that biting a member of the family (or anyone for that matter) is not acceptable... A basic, "Pavlov's Dogs" type of training should take care of it unless he has an attitude. A negative reaction from bad behavior on his part and awarding good behavior... Basic psychology and works wonders on animals.

It may sound corney but my suggestion is to read some Caesar Milan(the dog wisperer) His methods really work and he specializes in the biting types. you could probly just check one out at your local library!

I think you have to start with making him clear who's boss before you take such drastic measures as showing him his place. Have a look here: www.cesarmilan.com.

you see, we can't really do that because he will be living with my sister and her family in a different city. We have him here till christmas

That should give you time enough according to Cesar (May-O, we posted at the same time about him, funny).
