what iPod??

I am thinking of either saving or asking for an ipod this christmas, but i'm confused by so much choice they have!! I am thinking of getting an ipod touch if i can eventually save the money, but what do yo guys think is best? is it worth paying about £50 or more extra to get a 32 or 16 gb version instead of the 8gb one?? or should i go for an ipod classic or nano instead? i neeed to knowww...

I have an ipod touch and they are really good! But I only have the 8gb ipod touch and that suits me just fine, but I would only say there is one problem. I don't think you get your moneys worth if you don't use it for accessing the internet because that is one of the main things it should be used for, as well as music. But then again, you can put apps on it unlike the other ipods, and they are the COOLEST thing ever as there are so many of them. So personally, I would choose the 8gb ipod touch.

Hope I have made sense and please ask any questions you might have, I will try and answer them!

I would go for the 8Gb ipod touch too. You're never gonna fill 16Gb never mind 32 (personally I think the bigger sizes are for show offs:]) I haven't filled 2Gb on my phone, including the OS and I've been stuffing it with apps for months, not to mention the music and pics:]

I have an iPod nano (3rd Generation) it depends on what you are going to put on there. I personally, would go for 16gb mine's 8GB and I do not have enough room for all my music and a couple of movies... I want a 17GB one for xmas, the new nano one coz they have it in PURPLE (crazy much??) but ipod touches are like reli good

I would say if your interested in music then go for a nano but if you want the internet and the apps go for a touch... I have an 8GB ipod nano and I agree with BecSTAR if you get one go for a 16GB Happy

I think its like the iphone, you have to pay, but if you are out and about there should be free wifi?

Since when do Ipod Touches have 3G built in?? Atleast mine just had Wi-Fi for connecting to the internet... I guess I could have missed a new version being released, but it doesn't say anything about it in the specs found on Apple.com.

In any case, the Touch is a wonderful device. Probably the best MP3 player I've ever used in terms of control, functionality, design and over all performance. Add to that the the Wi-Fi, awesome video playback (used it a whole lot back in the army) on a rather big screen, and the countless apps and games you can get for it... If you have the money, it's the one to get. The size of the storage of course should be determined by the amount of music you have... No reason to get a more expensive one if you don't really need all the storage space.

A huge amount of the apps are free, the ones you pay for aren't that expensive though. Also there are lite versions of a lot of paid for ones that are free so you can try before you buyHappy Also there are tons of user written reviews so you can see what other people think of them first.

If you get the Ipod touch or whatever shouldn't you just get the phone?

My Hubby has the Google MyTouch and he just uploaded his music to the phone, and you can stream Pandora, lastFM or whatever else you want.
