Definitely making all my gifts Happy Trying to sort out my lists now. Happy

I think they only thing Im going to be buying are these: http://www.kiva.org/ or gifts from world vision that go to communities (potentially to the communities of my foster children). Happy

The only worry I have with the last two is that my extended family is notoriously materialistic...and Im worried they just wont get it, so Im giving them something handmade as well. I want to give my sister the Kiva one, so she can learn and have an impact like that on someones life.

The only gifts I dont really know, is what to give my sponsor children. I was thinking a small pack of pencil crayons, or crayons and notebooks or colouring books. Both of the girls are 5, and both have their birthdays in December...any ideas?

I don't celebrate christmas so I'm not that excited lol. I like the idea of a midwinter festival to brighten up the dark days but the whole christmas thing gets waaaay out of hand.
I make nice cakes, biscuits and chocolates/candies etc and give those to friends. I do enjoy the process of puttering round in a warm fug in the kitchen much more than traipsing around crowded shops:]

I'm making some presents, buying some. My 6yo son is on my case already about putting up a tree lol, his arguement is that the stores have theirs up already so why can't we have ours.
And Jess, what a great way to spread the Christmas cheer. We sent chickens and a well last year, it was group effort. I think the girls would love crayons and coloring books Happy

I am soooo excited and am making gifts for over 10 people. I plan on making everyone something and perhaps buying them something to go along with it. For my brother and sister-in-law who are Catholic I am making a Lady Guadalupe apron and buying them a crock-pot on Black Friday. For my fiance who loves South Park I am making him a Towelie pillow and getting him other South Park things to go with (and probably an external hard-drive). I've been working on other things for awhile now because there is not a lot of time! I also have to finish a lot of it for my family in other states because it has to be shipped and still make it on time! Christmas in some ways is anti-climatic but the entire season is lovely!!

Meeeee!!! I'm more psyched about Christmas Songs and putting up the tree!!!! I've bought one present for my friend and the rest of my friends prezzies will be made. I've bought something for my nephews, me, my mum and sister aren't getting anything for eachother because we are kinda broke... so that's two less giftfs to get. Got to think of something for my dad... hhmm

Yeah I'm kinda getting into the Xmas spirits... I've already got my funky Xmas jewellry out!! I even have a hair band that has a button on it, when you press it, it plays jingle bells!! WOOOOO
