High school stereotype?

When we got lockers at high school everyone was like "Omg let's decorate them like in the movies!", but then quickly got fed up of that lol. I just had a copy of my timetable stuck on the inside of the door of mine, because I'm terrible with remembering my timetable or I'm paranoid I'll go to the wrong room/think I've got a free when I don't, so I have to have multiple copies stuck all over the place.

I don't even use my locker. I put my calculator in my friends locker, but thats it.

And we've got a calender in there, but thats just because its funny. Happy

A lot of girls [usually one's with top lockers] have mirrors with magnets on them.

What's a file Queeny? Is that like... a binder? or a folder? a notebook? lol

a file is a binder yep

When I worked we had lockers, small wooden cupboards but they were deep width ways. Mine didn't even lock, and I wasn't even given a key or a new locker. I suppose without a locker you can just walk out of school (or work) and go home at the end of the day rather then having to go back to it. How do you get a top locker!? They were on about bringing them into school but they said we'd all have to pay a pound deposit and we'd get it back at the end of the year as long as we didn't loose the key or destroy the locker or whatever. There will never be the funds for that to happen in public schools.

well... ours arn't wooden, they are metal, and all lock. Lockers are given out at random, except WHERE in the school your locker is.

We have two floors, and there are lockers on the left and right sides of the bottom floor, left and right sides of the top floor, and in the middle on both floors as well.

Freshman and sophomores get a random locker in the middle somewhere, where jr's and seniors get lockers on the sides.

I had metal lockers too. And you supplied your own lock. That way you could have whatever combination you wanted. I never used mine. At my school they gave you a book to take home, and then they had books in the classroom. The only thing I had to carry around in my backpack was notebooks, a binder and my gym clothes. Plus whatever stuff. And we had to have mesh or see through backpacks. And if you didn't have a jansport then you were a dork.ju

The lockers thing is quite interesting...
We have a locker room in the basement, filled with uh... lockers along every wall. We're also expected to get changed there, but seeing at there are about 600 girls needing to get books from their lockers at break and lunch, it's really, really cramped and horrible. The end of the day is the worst- you have to fight not to get slammed into your locker by the passing swarms!
My school also does the weirdest thing- they give you a lock in year 7 for your locker, and you are not meant to have any different lock on your locker- so if you lose it, you have to buy the exact same lock from the school again! Now, of course, no one really cares, so a lot of people have code locks because they don't want to be carrying their key around, but yeah it's really
weird...

Once you get to year 10 at my school, a lot of people do carry around files (or binders) because of the shit load of GCSE work they're sometimes hard to fit in your bag!

As our town grew and grew the school couldn't keep up with all the new kids, so there were lockers(usually 3 lockers high) along every single wall, everywhere! Even in the coatrooms! We ended up getting the school chapel turned into classrooms, the old home/ec rooms and then those prefabs outside too!
I ended up with a locker somehow without paying for it haha I barely used it as I went home for lunch, as I lived 5 mins away.
It's all done up now the school, and my sister starts in Sept, so I would be interested to hear from her what it is like now!

Our lockers are tall, big lockers, which you can lock if you want to. but no one does. Since there are only 200 kids in school, you can pretty much figure out who took something from you within the week. And on another note, I really dont have a label. Or maybe i do, and people are just too afraid to say it to my face. But oh well, i'm lucky that i dont really have to deal with cliques.
except for this one bitchy girl in my class who makes up rumors about people

I don't really have a label but everyone says that if I went to a schol without uniforms I would be considered goth.

i live in Pennsylvania. a small town called Oil City. you know, the town that oil was first discovered? haha anyways, i get the feeling that all of us artsy types are outcasts. i basically have no friends that i hang out with, but i talk to people from every clique in school. all of the "popular" kids in my school are whores. cheerleaders, mostly. but they sleep around and are trashy. then there are the jocks, but everyone else has cliques of friends withought clear labels. i cannot wait till college. i am going to an art institute. i am (hopefully)going to be a professor of either paiting, drawing, or pottery. (i am in 11th grade by the way. one more year of high school.)what do you guys want to be?

A DOG GROOMER! I'm getting there, I'm already a growed up though...supposedly.

All the popular girls were the sluts too.

In my school all the art students are the cool kids, and the "popular" ones don't really have many actual friends, just loads of people they know outside school. And the cliques are all just whoever is friends with whoever, most people within the cliques all have really different intrests from one another. But hey, it makes it more interesting, right?

And i want to be an animator Happy

haha i thought my school was different in the way of a million sluts walking around. it gives me little hope for the outside world. but at least there are good people. a dog groomer? i love cutting hair. i have cut my own since i was 12. you cannot really see it very well in my avatar, but i think it looks good. animators are awesome! i dont have much patience for animation. is that a picture of you on your avatar, queenfairypants?
