Ok, it's not sad news! It's just news. It might seem like sad news but it's not Happy

Tom and I have decided to become 'just friends'. we've been like that for a while really but forcing ourselves to hold hands and stuff but not been getting much joy out of it, we're missing that spark basically. But now we've decided to be Best Friends Forever instead and it's been grand. We're both much happier and looking forward to our future as best friends!


I just thought I'd let you know incase you wonder why I'm not joining in with couply threads, giggle.

I can't imagine a much better friend than a guy you've dated. If he knows you inside out, all your personal stuff, and still always wants to be there for you just as friends, then that must be brilliant.

I hope you're okay though. I know you said it's not sad news, and maybe you're just better with these things than most people, but it's got to be a little sad when you break up with someone.

Yeah, it was pretty hard ending something we've put so much time in because we've got such good memories and stuff- and we kept being all "maybe we could start again slowly? only see other once a month? only talk two or three times a week? abstain?" and then we realised how completely stupid that idea was and how we'd be happiest as just friends

and we really are, we broke up on friday and since then have had some grand days out!

That is great Roma, I never had a break up like that and something like that sounds great. To be friends and not have any anger towards each other, I suppose some of the tension was release when you both talked about whats on your minds. Especially great to have a best friend who knows you very well and can turn to for advice and emotional support. Not to mention you guys can always joke around "hey remember that time we did and went there ect." and just overall have fun. Keep the memories and make some new ones Happy
