This is fuuun I was never the type to talk so much about these things...until now... I hope you don't think I'm taking the attention away from you Michelle! I like your ring Happy

I want something old and pretty and different rather then the usual thing for engagement and something celtic and simple as a wedding ring although he bought me this bracelet for my 18th birthday, the first birthday in the relationship and he it's a silver fabulous celtic knot bracelet so i think I'm in safe hands lol I think he'd just have a simple gold or silver band, ooo it would look hot! But again we're not properly engaged it's sort of 'a given' i think is the phrase I'd rather be proposed to and get married at least a year later rather then wait years...I sound lke I'm trying to prove something I'm not! /rant

My man and I pretty much have decided that we'll get married after we've lived together in our own place for awhile and are financially secure. We definitely mesh perfectly, have the same outlooks and plans for how we want our life together to be, etc... We don't want rings for engagement or for the wedding itself. We're going to have our wedding rings tattooed onto our fingers... probably just a simple design. I'm not sure if we'd get it done before or after the actual ceremony, though.

Lucky duck. At least your man is open to talking about marriage. xP Mine is against it completely. He thinks marriage in his family is cursed. xD!!

I'm only against marriage in the legal sense. If I ever get married, it'll be more like a joining that homosexuals have. Just a celebration without the paperwork and legal mumbo jumbo.

thanks guys, I love the ring too.

Pip, we are talking about moving overseas(my man is a nurse) but I am a designer, so its harder for me to get a visa on my own. But married its easier.

right now, its very simple, elope and then have a huge party. We are thinking a bbq

I think he is set on a nice local wedding. no church, just going to the justic of the peace. Maybe this summer and a bbq in our back yard
