fun stuff to do, places to check out?

i'm in Burbank,CA for a vacation of sorts. everyone's off at work most days.. i've been learning to ride the metro to go around. any good stores/upcoming events (for crafts/make up/films) that i should check out? i get so bored at home (two dolls came out of it, but still!!)
so far i've been to michaels, amoeba, a couple of thrift stores ...
hope you guys/ladies can help me out!
