Sewing felt together

Hi everyone!
I've been working on a felt scarf recently, with the same idea as this one:
http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/felt_necklace_and_ring_set
The only problem is, after I sew the squares together, they come apart very easily. It's broken a number of times within an hour!!
If anyone has any suggestion on how to keep the things together, I would greatly appreciate it!!!
Thank you in advance Happy

I TOLD YOU! mmm that's weird usually felt stays together when I sew it doing a different stitch could help too (depending on what stitch you're using!) but you've probably fallen out with felt now ah ha

True, my stitch might be pathetic. Probably, actually. I'm not much of a sew-er....I think I'll go for the glue stuff though. After putting the thing back together a dozen times, I'm sick of the thread and needle. Heheh.
I'll post it as soon as I finish it! Happy (and get around to it...)

were you using running stitch like this - - - - - - or i dont know the name of the other time when it looks like this ))))))) but vertically?

I used a running stitch. A very short one, mind you. Like only three -'s long (- - -) .
Also, through recent investigation, I found out that my thread is cheap and breaks easily and does not stay knotted. Seems there is more than one factor contributing to my scarf fail!

Okay, the craft store in my town didn't have fabric glue specifically, but it had glue that "securely bonds fabrics, glass, wood, leather, glitter, etc." I bought that, but either I can't glue things together, or the glue bottle lied. It doesn't want to work. I'm thinking I don't give the stuff enough time to dry, though. I'm more than a bit impatient Tongue I'll try it one more time (without touching it) and see how that goes. Stupid scarf is a lot of work....

Okay, my last post. (we really do need edit buttons...) The glue wasn't working, so I told my mother, and she went out and got good thread and used he motherly magic and sewed it together. My sewing technique didn't work, as I just did a running stitch across the square. She did something fancy and now it stays together!! Woot. All I can do is wait for her to finish now. Happy
