Help! Need Ideas ASAP on making shirts longer!

I just got my new work shirt. (I could wear anything I wanted before) and they are wayyyyyyyy too short (I'm a big girl unfortunately) I tried to order a size bigger, but low and behold 2x is as big as they go. Thankfully they arent TOO tight, but they go to just bellow my belly button and unfortunately look horrible and make me look bigger then I really am. I wore one today tucked into a skirt, and it didnt look bad... but with pants its horrid. I tried with a longer tank top and it still looks so so so bad.

They are this weird material... they are nike brand? They are more like an athletic shirt then anything else they just happen to say Lexus on them too....... I am worried that one the fabric would be difficult to sew with, and two that it wont look professional.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can alter it? I did get two black ones so maybe I can add fabric from one to the other?? gah... this sucks!

I think that you need to talk to a manager about being able to get your own shirts that looks close to the type they want you to have. If they want you to look professional forcing you to buy their shirts that dont fit is not the way to go. I have the same problem but I fortunately have only worked in freezing conditions in which everyone bundled up as much as possible. I have though about making shirts longer but the only idea I have come up with that might look half decent is adding a ruffle in a contrasting color.
