Peach Fabric Help!

Hiya

I'm trying to make a Finn The Human Doll (from Adventure Time) but I cant find the right colour fabric, the local fabric shops in Soho all say its really hard to find a light/skin coloured fabric and I cant find anything online either!

Can anyone help me with a link for some?

Here is Finn:

Ahhhh I love adventure time!!! What kind of fabric are you looking for? Are you looking fr 100% cotton, a poly-cotton blend or felt? Have you tried Joann.com or etsy.com? I'm sure you could find it somewhere, I'd go look at my local fabric stores for ya, but I my car is in the shop getting fixed Happy oh well hopefully it will be done soon Happy

Thanks Pam! If you see anything that would be great. I would say probably poly as its cheaper, I wouldnt pay more than £6-7 a metre over here for basic no pattern fabric. Thats about $10 for 3 ft or so.

I'll also try the websites above too!

Well I don't have a car right now but I should by this weekend and I'll keep my eyes open. But I did find this cotton on Joann.com
http://www.joann.com/country-classic-cotton-solids-assorted-colors/prd10005/
It's 100% cotton and is only about $5.00 for 3 ft (1yard) I have bought from there before and I don't reemerge shipping being too expensive. It's an option if you can't find it anywhere else Happy

What about dying white fabric finn isn't a too outrageous colour, he's pretty pale, you might be able to pull of something with tea. I've never really done it that way. Maybe you can find some regular fabric dye and keep a close eye on it before the colour soaks in too well.

And if you get desperate you can look into make your own fabric sites. You tell em what you want and they'll print it up for you. But I feel that's a little extreme for your project even.

I do have a lot of white cotton- dying it is a really good idea to get the colour I need actually, I just hope I dont stain it or muck it up! i'll look into this idea, thanks heather!

I think tea staining may be it! Its pretty subtle and gives a realistic skin colour:

Thanks for the idea!

If tea doesn't give you the results you want, maybe try staining fabric with makeup foundation. Since it comes in so many tones, it would probably be easy to make it match Finn's skin... as long as the stain stays in!
