SEWING MACHINE TROUBLE
I didn't know where else to post this, BUUUUUUUT....
Ok so my sewing machine is giving me some trouble the bottom thread does not thread thru the top thread while I'm sewing. Does anyone know of the problem I'm having and know how to fix it?????
- Thanks, Dee
This website is quite quick and simple for sewing machine trouble: http://sewandserge.com/tshoot.asp
For me the usual thing that works for most problems is to take the bottom bobbin out, give it a good wiggle/shake and re-thread the bobbin. Seems silly but it works for me.
If you have a Singer machine, try rethreading the entire machine and testing it on a normal weight fabric like quilter's cotton. If it's still not working, leave it alone for a day or two and come back to it.
Make sure that both threads are on the top plate before you introduce the fabric.
Try changing the needle.
Thanks Tasha and the other gals I'll take a look at the site and mess with my bobbin again
ARGH I had exactly the same thing...it's called Hook Timing Fix and here's a video on how to fix it...my dad spent forever fixing it, but in the end we bought a new machine for my birthday + Christmas present this year
