Sewing machine

Hello everyone,

I have some horrible news. My sewing machine is now in the bin as its very unrepairable. [sobs]
That has left me in a bit of a dilemma.
I now have to buy a new machine and don't know where to start etc...
My old one was in the family for years so it was very worn in etc

Please help: What do I look for in a sewing machine? Tall, dark and handsome....??? Sorry thats the other dream.
I just sew clothes etc so I just want something basic that I can do all the same things on still.

Gosh, I know nothing about sewing machines, I mean you can get some tiny simple little machines for like £20 or something similar to what you have now :S

I use my mums machine which has been in our family for a while also...

As kitty said, take a look at different machines and their capabilities!!

Any sewing machines that are "Singer" I have found to be really nice and long lasting. They aren't all that pricey either Happy
