Knitters come hither

I have a problem I've just started knitting and I can make rows but I can only do it with the rows on the left side going to the right, not the opposite. If you know what I mean.

That's how it's supposed to be.

well that doesn't make sense so you make a row and then you have to switch your needle back to the left hand. That cant be right

but it can't be! Shouldnt you be able to just take the rows from your right and put them back to the other needle! GAWWD..Knitting is so wrong

well I know you switch needles. But when the rows are on your right hand can you do the same thing you usually do when the rows are on your left needles. does this make sense. I always have to return the needle to my left had because I cant figure out how to switch my stitches from right to left. I'm mean not moving the rows but the needles. I DONT UNDERSTAND! I need a shrink

I'm confused now. I suggest you take a look here, they have plenty of videos that I am sure will help you out. It's hard to explain knitting without being there and being able to show you, hope this helps.

thats just the way knitting is. It wouldn't make much sense if you take the rows of one needle and on the other when you can just switch them

well not take them off but you have to switch the needles with throws in position so its in your left again

When you get to the end of the row, and all the yarn is on the right hand needle you swap needles, UNLESS

If you are willing to do some funky stuff. Yolu can continue to hold the needle in your right hand, then treat it as if you are doing a left handed knitters purl. Then you go back and forth bewteen right handed knitting

and left handed purling. You don't have to switch the needles, but you have to completely switch what you are doing. It sounds complicated and it is. It really only works for basic stuff, like rectangle scarves, etc. You can't really do it for complex patterns.
