Jewelry Wire HELP!

Does anyone know what guage jewelry wire that 'Earring Hooks' are?
...im SOOooo Tired of buying these darn things all the time, & wanna start making my own. Happy

I've always been told/taught they are a 20g hard wire, or half hard if you plan on hammering them. There are too of awesome tutorials out there for making your own, even if you don't have all the fancy tools. I'm sure the size of wire can vary a but depending on the look you want. Just try for hard wire, that way it won't loose shape later during use.

Yeah, 20 gauge is really the best for home made earring wires, but you can also use 18 gauge.
