Necklace Organization

How can I organize my necklaces? I can use a tutorial and try making a bracelet rack but I have no idea what I should do about my necklaces. I don't really have any wall space to hang an organizer or any space on my small dresser, though I could try to make some. I was thinking maye one of those jewlery tree type things I saw once at Target..any suggestions?
I don't have a whole ton of necklaces but I have a fair amount that they get tangled in the shoebox they are in now (along with all my other bracelets, pins, rings).

here is a great idea I just found recently! I have always hung my longer necklaces up on hangers in the closet. I just hang them from the neck and little places for spaghetti strap clothes. But I think this idea would keep them better organized and look cool too!

<div style='padding-bottom: 2px; line-height: 0px'><a href='http://pinterest.com/pin/199367035/' target='_blank'><img src='http://d30opm7hsgivgh.cloudfront.net/upload/199367035_ye1rUkDq_c.jpg' border='0' width='425 height ='640'/></a></div><div style='float: left; padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px;'><p style='font-size: 10px; color: #76838b;'>Source: <a style='text-decoration: underline; font-size: 10px; color: #76838b;' href='http://household6diva.com/2011/01/jewelryorganizationwoodenhangersrepurpo.html'>household6diva.com</a> via <a style='text-decoration: underline; font-size: 10px; color: #76838b;' href='http://pinterest.com/pamela_pascali/' target='_blank'>Pamela</a> on <a style='text-decoration: underline; color: #76838b;' href='http://pinterest.com' target='_blank'>Pinterest</a></p></div>

Just hang the necklaces from were the earrings are Happy

Oh and I like this idea too Happy But in your case you could hang it from the rod in the closet instead of on your wall!

Pam, you have inspired me. Never again will I lose a necklace, and now I have a new idea of what to make for some people on Mother's Day.

i just use a hook that is on a shelf, its part of the bit that holds the shelf up, its not technically a hook, but it holds loads of necklaces so i just select the one i want and lift it off.

I got a drawer/ jewelry divider with lots of square cells to separate my jewelry... it sits on my dresser in my closet. You can get some inexpensive "screw hooks" that you just twist into drywall or wood, you could even use a memo or pin board for that matter. I've also seen some cute roll ups here that kinda latch necklaces in place so they don't get tangled and you can throw it in a drawer. Ooo! Or you could get some twin/ string and pin it to the wall and use clothespins to pin each necklace along the line (that would be cute Happy).

You can use a small corkboard from just about any office supply/walmart/target/etc. You can even paint it with acrylics if you'd like (I put a leopard print around the frame on mine) and then, just add some clear push pins to hang necklaces from.

I also use styrofoam halloween headstone decorations to hold jewelry. I just mounted them to the wall, and added those clear push pins. Happy

Whoa, I love those tombstones! They always have them at the dollar stores around Halloween time... I should get some this year. I never thought of using them that way!
