What to do with my floors?

they are plywood and painted an ugly grey,
i want to do something awesome with them before i get carpeting (which will take a while considering its so expensive) but i cant think of anything...
pattersn? splatter? i dont know

my cousin drew and painted a giant sun mural on the floor that looks fantastic. splatters would look cool too.

I don't think its a very good idea to get carpet floors, because they get very discoloured and messy easily and they're really hard to clean. I just got mine taken up, so I put down a nice wood floor and a few colourful rugs around the room ^_^

you could choose a base color and over it go for stripes, dots, branches, leaves or what ever is your style, try to get a stencil or use tape so it would look good, and after that get some kind of varnish or sealer they use this so that the paint wont fade or come off.
