the ongoing seed swap

Sorry!! I totally forgot about this, shame on me Happy

My sister adviced me not to swap because of two reasons: usually the plants that grow somewhere else. are just not suitable for a slightly different climate and most plants in your garden are cross breeds and chances that you will get the same plant are small.

So I won't be participating in this swap, sorry.

I never thought of that.

We probably need to check what people's countries are like in terms of accepting seeds and that kind of thing. Australia have really strict rules regarding plant related things coming into the country. I think the UK are okay but what about others?

for anyone in holland...
they let in seeds i think, but the weather here is cold, wet, crappy, and if it is warm its very stuffy here, it suffocates you...
so swaps with us dutchies, like marieke and me, with seeds is tough. they probably won't grow here. apples work. beans work. corn works. but its very hard to be sure, and i think swapping with people from your own country or region is best-more chance the seeds will work then.

this is really disappointing, because i need seeds and so on for my currently-defunct backyard..... but oh, well.
