Pleather Bag - What to Do?

I have this pleather bag that is an orange/beige color and I want to do something with it in order to get some use from it. I don't want to decoupage anything onto it because with use decoupage starts to crack. I thought about using Sharpies and spraying an acrylic sealer on it, but I want some thoughts and ideas before I make a final decision. Thank you in advance!

My first thought is always "stencil-spraypaint!" (then seal with an aerosol lacquer) but that's similar the sharpie...

Was the colour a problem? Or was it too plain or something?

The color is not to my liking. When I bought it the picture showed a bright orange, but it's more of an brown orange. I like your idea and I will incorporate it into my idea. Thank you!

Look up "Anuschka style handbags" for a way to make the orange work for you. You can shade it down or add a design that will make it sing! I know you were asking about techniques... just made me think of one of my pending projects. ;)
