Steampunk Part Fusion?

I have seen some awesome Steampunk stuff online, so I am working on some original ideas inside my head. (Which is always my first creative step)The Steampunk keyboard is amazing and the Mariner's Flash Drive is easy and way cool. I am not trying to get ideas for this kind of thing, I already have those. I just am having trouble with the right way to put these things together without having to solder them. I have done a lot of metal work in the past, even soldering silver wire to a crystal rosebud that I cut with a dremel. (Boy that took a lot of work, lol)I don't like to do the soldering, I get hurt way too easily. So epoxy is out because I always do that wrong too. Any ideas on fusing the parts together permanently?

If you're fusing metal to metal, you might check into liquid nails or JB Weld. They're designed for metals and, once dry, are nearly as hard as a skillfully soldered joint.

Glue gun glue doesn't really work with hard smooth surfaces. Once it's cooled it comes apart really easily.
