Projects for boyfriend

I'm a big crafter but I have no idea how to apply that to my relationship. I've made some origami and little clay charms and I'm in the middle of a project with poems and lyrics but I need other ideas that are romantic and thoughtful but not too feminine with flowers and ribbons all over.
Any suggestions?

He's 23, a huge gamer, lives in the woods, has a 5 year old son, works three jobs on and off and couldn't be more of a chick without being a chick.

Craftovision has really easy space invaders hoodie project you could try.

If you can knit then a google search will give you lots of different variations for mario and space invaders hats and Whitney Sews on youtube gives you a tutorial for a cool TMNT messenger bag. (You could easily replace the buttons for something more chunky for your boyfriend)
