thai fishermans pants into a prom jumpsuit?

So i want to make something for prom, and i like to stand out so i was thinking a non-dress
i love the look of fishermans pants
id add a top to it and i dont know if it'd be a kimono type top or just a tube top

does this seem ludicrous?

thoughts and ideas would be nice Happy

I think as long as you kept the top fitted it should work fine. Also maybe consider making the pants out of a nicer material just to tie it all together.

thanks, i think that i'm going to make it easy for me and just lengthen it so that it become a sleavless tube top with a huge obi-like thing that is going to wrap around my torso

thanks for the comments Happy

Ok, I have to say that when I first read your post I imagined you were talking about the rubber pants that some fishermen wear when fly fishing! I was wondering how on earth you were going to turn that into fashion.

I think what you're really talking about would be cute and a lot more fun than a dress.
