Crafts for Passover???

Hokay, so, as is old news, I moved to the Holyland last year. Passover is just around the corner (during Holy Week, lol), and since our apartment is one of mixed culture--essentially Catholicism and Jewishness, I want to decorate for Easter, but still have a Passovery feel as well. After all, the holidays are undeniably intertwined.

I did a search on here for Passover, and got nothing. Any ideas? Also, any ideas for having a festive Easter in a Jewish country??? Last year we went to Jerusalem, which turned out to be a HUGE mistake (story only if people are desperate to know). I am pretty religious, while he is agnostic. He's pretty accepting of my religion, but still wants to maintain some semblance of his Jewish heritage, which is, of course, fine by me.

Also, on the front page it says that Easter is the 12th, but that was last year; this year it's the 4th, with Good Friday on the 2nd. Happy

Thoughts??

Sorry sweety!!!
Umm how about just some spring time things...that way you will keep everyone happy! Flowers, butterfly's birds.
I come from a non practicing catholic family but am Wiccan so i have no ideas about Passover..
I hope whatever you decide to do you have fun with your sweety!!

I wish I could find Passover things as well! Happy

All I could think to do was dangle little pomegranate cutouts on fishing wire in the hallway.

Hi, I’m also from a Christian upbringing so I don’t know if I can help much (or if my suggestions are appropriate) – some ideas I found from scouting around the web: Anything to do with eggs(?). Eggs seem to be a common Easter/Passover symbol so perhaps that would be a nice way to symbolise both? Painted eggs, handmade chocolate eggs as gifts, perhaps paper or card cut into an egg shape, decorated and hung either individually or as banner. There are some cute ideas on this website http://www.creativejewishmom.com/holiday-pesachpassover/ - I think her embossed tin decoration is super cute! =) If you wanted to do some baking it looks like Martha Stewart has a few recipes http://www.marthastewart.com/passover

well, i guess he wouldnt be offended if i just go for the gold with easter decorations, lol! most of it is springy, anyway. Happy

i think a large part of the problem with finding/making jewish holiday decorations is that most of the origins of the holidays just arent happy. o.O i mean, its basically all "they tried to kill us; they failed; lets eat." ;) :-P (i do love the holiday with dried fruits and planting trees and such, though! :-D )
