So, who is making their outfit for Halloween/Dia de los meurtos this year?
I need to start planning mine but having a tiny mental block.
Definitely getting some ideas from here though guys.

Also, what way are we going? Total gross out, fun for the whole family or a touch risqué?

I'm going punk ballerina, with tutu and corset. I thought about buying a wedding dress at a used clothing store and covering it in fake blood, but I wanted a less gory look this year.

i'm going to be a pin up mobster. i've never had a sexy costume, i've always gone blood and gutsy, so it will be something different this year. i'm hoping i can find an inexpensive striped mens dress shirt to use.

if that fails, i'm painting my face like a sugar skull and dressing up in crazy colors. : )

depending on how things go with surgery and recovery...even then IT WILL NOT STOP ME FROM HAVING FUN ON HALLOWEEN...opse darn caps button got stuck...but anywho..I dolled up the front of my house and I got the girls their costumes. I am going to dress casually and just do something crazy with my hair and some rad make up something like a stitched up doll face Happy cant wait!

I made my Poison Ivy costume. (Batman) Poison Ivy...

I like it, but I made too tight in the butt area. But I can fix it, I just feel like it anytime soon.

I'm making my sister a Dorothy costume.

POISON IVY, wow. I love Gotham Girls. I went through a whole comic obsession (still have it actually). I really like the Dorothy idea, who hasn't always wanted Dorothy shoes?

Last year I went Battle Royale style, but now I'm 18 and all mature (HA!) I thought I should step it up.
I'm thinking gory for shits and giggles, and I did see a really good Kane from Alien costume, with the creature exploding out of a t-shirt, but thats alot of effort to craft.
I have an Alice in Wonderland dress I made that I doubt I will ever wear again, might just reconstruct that into something useful.

There are some great ideas there!

My friend got tickets to see the Mighty Boosh on halloween, so I'm going there. One of my friends is going as Old Gregg. I was thinking "Young Hitcher" for my costume. Before he was pure evil (and green!), so he'll be younger/dapper (making this up completely).

I've not got anything for it yet, so I'll have to magic up some kind of victorian costume quick speed!

I'm going as howl! From Howl's Moving Castle. Tongue I couldn't quite convince my boyfriend to dress up as Sophie. Ah well. I went to a fashion store and got really high waisted black pants, and a puffy white shirt. And I'm going to look for a spazz jacket. Or make a quick one. And do my hair black (I dun wanna be a blond howl) and I have these really awesome kick butt shoes that'll work perfectly.

^_^ I don't really care if no one really gets it. I just wanna pretend to be howl for the day!

I"m actually a bit stuck on this one...I'm either going as:

a) An Anarchist from the movie Doomsday http://images.starpulse.com/Photos/Previews/Doomsday-movie-05.jpg
b) An Ice Queen
c) Betty Boop

or something else...I also have to get a costume together for my boyfriend... Anarchist would be hella easy and cheap, minus making dreadfalls. Ice Queen would be more work for sure, and Betty Boop would be beyond easy.

Any ideas to make this decision easier?
