What have you been cooking? (Photo edition)

This weeks special has been a Red Onion & Olive Tart:

Basically you fry up loads of chopped red onions. Roll out some puff pastry and mould it in to a circle (like you would a pizza base), spread the top with onions, add some olives and cook in the oven for 20 minutes. Mmmmmm!

I hate Olives but Mmmmm! I'd use goat's cheese instead of Olives. That looks lovely.

I mentioned a while ago I was joining The Daring Bakers, and this was part of my first challenge:

I made the Danish Pastry from scratch, and then I filled it with pastry cream (also made from scratch) 70% fair trade cocoa and a bit of sugar. They're Spandau or Envelope shapes. They were so yummy!

I'm making my second (very secret) challenge later on. Wish me luck!

I just got an electric mixer for my bday, so I shall be baking a cheesecake at the weekend Happy

I baked my cheesecake, it's from a Nigella Lawson recipe, that I got on someone's food blog,

We had to wait until 10pm to test it, which is why the lighting is so bad. It was well worth the wait, it was bloody delicious! It is a basic cheesecake, with a sour cream layer at the top. mmm

It's a tortilla filled with salsa, cheese and chicken. It's rolled up and baked in the oven. Then you put lettuce, sour cream, etc on top of it and eat it like a burrito.

I'm a vegetarian though and I'm the only one in the house so nobody in my family really likes when I cook haha
They're very good, I eat them a lot actually. Them and Quesadillas!
