Help with potluck side dishes!

Im need of a helping hand from a fellow cook or cooks. I have been invited to a small gathering an its my job to do two to three side dishes that will go good with korean short ribs, but are easy to make.

I would do something with noodles and kimchi.

Thank you Minima, the potluck was Thursday. I made non traditional dishes. Spicy coleslaw, baked beans, and egg salad on wheat thins.
