Soup Recipes?

Mmm, I love having soup when it's really cold, like it is here in Scotland at the moment, so I'm on the hunt for tasty recipes.
Does anyone have any good soup recipes they could post?

Soup's simple! I've always just fried up some onions and some main ingredient of choice, before shoving some water in and boiling it for a while and then pureeing it up with some milk or creme fraiche if i so wish. works every time! yummm.

Here's a veggie soup recipe for those nights that you don't have time to waste. It's good and FAST!

1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 C chopped onion
2 cans ( 14 1/2 oz) Italian Style Stewed tomatoes
1 can ( 17oz) Mixed Vegetables ( Veg-All)
1/2 C uncooked macaroni
1/2 tsp oregano

In a large pot, brown meat with onion. Cook until onion is tender; drain fat off
Stir in remaining ingredients. Salt and Pepper to taste. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until macaroni is tender.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes enjoy!!!!
