omg omg omg I think I just found THE recipe to make frosting for cupcakes with!!!

''This is the best frosting. Tastes like marshmellows and is not greasy. 5 Large Egg whites. 1.5 cups granulated sugar. 1 cup light corn syrup (the clear colored one) (Karo). 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 tablespoons tap water. Disolve sugar, water, syrup and eggwhites in a low temperature double boiler, mixing continuously so the whites don't become scramble, until the sugar is completely disolved. It takes a few minutes and that will heat the eggwhites enough to be safe for consumption. Put the mixture in the mixing bowl and add cream of tartar and vainilla. Mix in medium speed (also works with a hand held mixer) until white and fluffy and hard peaks form about 10 minutes. It is delicious and you will want to eat it as is.''

A double boiler is what the Americans have instead of Ban Maries. (Sp?)

It's a pan inside another pan of boiling water, so you can make it by resting a bowl atop a pan of boiling water and doing it that way.

oo no I was rather disappointed that they weren't actually cups and not multicoloured! at least there is some colours. I kept finding microwaveable saucepans and getting very excited then read the labels Happy and they have cookie cutters but they were expensive or crap! The good thing is that theres a little square clip thing with these that you press onto them so you don't loose them Happy

All those aren't cupcakes, they're art! I couldn't possibly eat them, they are too gorgeous. I'm showing these to my sister, she loves making cakes and now she'll want to do this too.
