Hair dye help!!!!

Have you dyed your hair before?
Cus my hair is dark brown too and I've got it down to if I want a certain hair color I have to use hair dye about two shades lighter than the one I want. I just use the cheap stuff at the drug store. But I'm not the most caring about my hair. If you want to use drug store brands I can tell you the ones that didn't work for me.

But if you want the right color and it not to fade away fast, I'd go to a beauty shop where they have the more expensive hair dye and use that.

You will have to bleach or pre-lighten your hair beforehand. Garnier's pre-lightening creme works really well. Then you can just look for box dye at a supermarket or pharmacy, Garnier is the best permanent hair dye to use because of their avo conditioner and treatment formula, although they don't have a wide variety of colours. If you want semi-permanent dye, I'd suggest using Directions, they have about 5 different shades of red.

Look for L'oreal Colour Rays. in Red. that should work for you. I used to get it at wal-mart.
