Put hair into small sections and slowly use the straightners, my hairdresser uses a comb as shes straightening my hair to get it really straight. A powerful hair dyer also helps to get a straight blow dry, im thinking of getting one from a salon.

After washing your hair, apply a straightening aid. They come in cream form. Check your local chemist for products, then try them out and find one you like.

With the straightening aid in your hair, blow dry it! It helps by making your hair smooth and making all your hair go the same way, and it will cut straightening time in half! While blowdrying, use a round brush to pull the hair taut.

Also, if youre serious about it then invest in a good straightener. Metal and ceramic plates don't cut it anymore compared to the technology of today. Investing in a good straightener will leave you with better-conditioned hair, help you take less time doing it and your hair will keep its hold better.
