Getting rid of black hair?

A little while ago (months) I dyed my hair black, and Im wondering how to get rid of it?
I have a few centimetres of re-growth at the top and the rest of my hair is faded.. but I want to dye my hair again, but a lighter colour.. anyone know how to get rid of it?
I've already tried anti-dandruff shampoo

just die it back but def use like a leave in conditioner for a few weeks ur hair will probably be really dry bc of it and its summer too...give it a go
