help me with my acne problem

I haven't read what everyone else said, for the most part.

Cleanse morning and night with a gel cleanser.

Use toner after cleansing in the morning. At night, use a gentle chemical exfoliating fluid (I like the one Aveda has, but it's a bit pricey.)

Moisturize 2x day. YES! USE MOISTURIZER! Try them with and without oil; sometimes acne is exacerbated by not having enough "clean" oils to remoisturize with after washing.

Once a week, use a mud mask on all your trouble spots.

If none of this goes away, consult your MD or a dermatologist.

PS: If you do and are prescribed Retin A, or any topical vitamin A gel/cream, ALWAYS use sunscreen! If you don't like the way sunscreen feels or how much time it takes to put it on, check into getting one of the new-ish spray-on ones. I swear, those are a Godsend. ;)

PPS: Always wear sunscreen anyway. :-P Besides everything else, the sun can actually make acne worse. Also, that gel cleanser needs to be specifically formulated for acneic skin. Happy

After reading everyone else's posts, I can say that trying lemon juice on a cotton ball/pad at night might work to replace the expensive chemical exfoliating fluid. If you can get your hands on the Aveda, though, it's amazing. :-D (It's also vegan, natural, etc. Happy )

If your skin dries out easy Do not use proactive. I tried it and I have slightly oily skin it made my skin start to flake. Yeah it was lovely!

If you have a physical Lush store around go check it out the sales people tend to be very informed and you can ask for samples of things to do a test run. Yay samples! FREE. I use baby face cleaser and celestial from Lush. Baby face is discontinued but Ultra Bland is simular. Celestial is a heavy cream good for me in my winter climate last all day with out feeling gressy. ^.^ Also all their products are sorced from animal testing free companies and all their lables are broken down on the website so you can look up what the actull ingredant is and why they use it.
