28G

So I recently went and had a bra sizing. I felt it was time since I had stopped nursing two months prior and I wasn't fitting into any of my pre-pregnancy bras. I went to a specialty shop and was sized at a 28G and was looking at an $80 price tag on a standard bra that has been made the same way for the past 40 years. The problem with wearing a bra like that, is it isn't cut for modern clothing and it isn't practical for me to spend that much money on a bra right now. I could try to make one but in the past this has not been my forte'. I was wondering if anyone knew of any online shops that catered to a girl with a limited budget but an obscure bra size?

There's a European shop called Hunkemöller, which has bras up to cup size H for affordable prizes and with some pretty designs. But unfortunately for you they don't ship to the US...

One of my friends who is also a G cup goes to Bravissimo and they sell to the US and go up to KK cup and start from 28 inches http://www.bravissimo.com/ - they also have an enormous range of styles and really pretty designs.

Thanks! The prices on both sites are amazing and now I can't wait to pick out a new and much needed bra!

I was gonna recommend bravissimo as they do lovely bras and often have sales. Also try figleaves. They have a lot of different brands in a range of prices, they also do swimwear too.

Try Leading Lady, maybe, too. They have some pretty comfortable bras in larger sizes, and shipping is pretty fast.

Thank you so much for posting this! I have a horrible time finding good homes for my overgrown "girls". I've googled and googled and never once found these shops. I can't wait to go SHOPPING!

What might help as well is to try larger band sizes with smaller cup sizes. What would be a 30DD cup will likely fit about the same as a 28G.

Instead of stiicking to a hardset band and cup size, try other sizes. What matters is how it fits and not what you see on the label.

I am supposed to be in a 38G, but I found that a 40DD gives me the same comfortable fit, but more cute options for fabric and cup shape. I just have to hook the band a bit tighter.

Cup and band sizes also vary from brand to brand. I know a lot of people get caught up on having a certain band or cup size that they like to say they wear, but when you abandon the ##X mentality, you can start to find some really comfortable bras in sizes you would not have considered before.

Also, going up a band size and down a few cup sizes gives you a lot more options for color, cut, style, and shape. Even though most sites put me in a 38G, I have found 40D demi cup bras that give me the cup cut I want without such total coverage, and I've found 40DD t-shirt bras that give a nicer silhouette and smooth back. At the same time, I've found a few cuter things in a 38G, but even then I will go down to an F cup so the coverage is not so crazy.
