I really need help

I just found out that one of our cats was put down, because he had hyperthyroidism, which was making him starve to death. He had been part of my family for my whole life, and I don't know what to do now. Does anybody know anything on how I can get over him, not forget, but just stop crying?

Give it time. Losing a pet is hard no matter what.
My sister in law recently lost her cat to old age (I think the cat was 15 or 16) and it took her a couple months before she realized getting a new cat would make her really happy.
Maybe go to a shelter and consider adopting a new cat.

I would, but I'm 13 and we're not getting anymore pets for a while. My cat was 13 or 14, we got him from under a flower shop when he was a kitten, so I'm not very sure on age.

I'm sorry for your loss...Losing a beloved kitty is always very hard. Happy The best thing that you can do is to give it time, and to cry it all out. It may take days, maybe a couple of weeks, maybe longer, but you'll feel better in time, promise.

And, if you want to memorialize him, maybe you could build a mini-shrine of some sort in his memory, full of pictures, his toys, etc.?

Losing a long-time pet is always a difficult thing. But you can't be afraid to cry. If you need alone time, just stay in your room for a while, or you could even cry on the shoulder of a family member. It won't go away with in days. You'll need to be patient and allow yourself to have time to calm down. Once you've gotten over the initial shock of losing him, try to focus harder on the things in life that you love.
