Take a #CraftRoomTour at Sew Be It Studio and see Dilys sewing room, closet of books and scraps collection in Toronto.

I love the sky light. It gives me lots of sunlight. Who can really complain about extra vitamin D?

Tell us about your space

The studio space is about 2000 square feet. I do have a section that I like to use. It's where I like to stash my stuff. There is a little office space I use to store all my books and my scraps collection. I collect fabric scraps and make accessories for pets and their hoomans (scrappy Betty designs)

For sew be it studio, I spent my time experimenting with different designs and pattern making that students can purchase or use in class. Something to avoid doing paper work, I would do selfish sewing instead.

What have you done to make your space cosy, beautiful or inspiring?

I keep the wall filled with sewing projects that I love.

How do you keep organized?

Oy! To be honest....I tried but it's an organized mess. I do strive in chaos

Any tips & tricks for organising supplies?

Bins. I use lots of bins.

Which are your favourite possessions and are there any of your own creations on display?

My design and pattern making books. Some of the displays are my work.

How do you organise your inspiration and ideas?

I have a sketch/note book that I carry with me. That's where I keep all my thoughts

Where do you look for inspiration?

It could be anything. A picture from a magazine. An old photograph. Books. Old posters. I love any design books, especially vintages.

If you had three wishes, what would you do to make it the dream space?

Better lighting. Plants that I cannot kill. A patio or balcony that I can get some fresh air
