Come on a #KitchenTour at From Bowl To Soul and see Anubhav's Warrington kitchen.

My kitchen window. I love watching the beautiful, ever changing skies and and trees from my tiny window while cooking. Also I love that I have lots of natural light in my kitchen. Even though i have a tiny kitchen, the natural light creates so much space.

Tell us about your kitchen?

My kitchen is a tiny L shaped kitchen. It is a part of the living room, so the dining area is just besides the kitchen. We are a family of three, so with just my husband and my daughter , the kitchen is not very busy . I do most of the cooking , sometimes involving my little daughter and its always fun.

What have you done to make your kitchen cosy, functional, beautiful or inspiring?

I don't have much working space, so it is important for me to keep my kitchen organised and functional. Im very particular about where I keep my things.Cleaning my workplace while cooking, not like piling up dirty dishes, organising while working are few things to ensure that ensure the kitchen is always functional. Also i always keep a vase of fresh flowers or some fresh herbs on my window to add that freshness.

How do you keep organized while cooking?

My kitchen is a small kitchen. I don't have much working space, so all the more important for me to keep my kitchen organised. Im very particular about where I keep my things. Cooking , cleaning, and washing dishes all go side by side, while I'm working in the kitchen. So that whenever I enter my kitchen next, I find it neat and tidy , ready to start cooking.

Any tips & tricks for organising your pantry, fridge and ingredients?

I prefer buying fresh produce , and not hoarding up stuff. That helps me keep a stock of things i have and helps me keep the fridge and kitchen organised. Using glass jars, sometimes even labelling them to store the lentils and flours also helps a great deal, as you can easily see the contents of the jar. As i cook mostly indian, i store all essential spices in a spice jar / box to ensure i have them all at one place.

Do you do a lot of cooking and what are your favourite dishes to make?

Yes, i do a lot of cooking. As i am working from home and my work involves cooking, so i spend most of my time in my kitchen. Sometimes its cooking for the blog , developing recipes, experimenting, and then regular everyday essential cooking for my family. I love trying anything new, and some of my favourites to cook from the blog are Daal recipes, and chicken recipes. Love making maa ki daal, and cream chicken.

Where do you turn for new recipe ideas?

I get my ideas from everywhere - TV, internet, old school magazines. I have had an interest for new recipes since childhood, i guess. I have some very very old notebooks where i had written some random recipes, I cant even remember when. i was amazed to find those in my old stuff after so many years. My mum has loads of recipes of her own, she has a huge stock of recipe magazines and she keeps throwing suggestions.I love travelling and gathering recipes from across the places that i travel to , and these keep adding to my recipe list.

Do you plan out your recipes for the week or do you like to be spontaneous?

Depends on how busy i am. This year i had university so most of the weeks it was planned cooking. Planning on weekends, getting the groceries / ingredients and doing meal preps helped me through the week, and made cooking much quicker and simpler . However otherwise l love to be spontaneous, and cook with the ingredients i have in hand.I love cleaning my fridge and using all leftover ingredients to whip up something interesting.

If you had three wishes, what would you do to make this your dream kitchen?

If i had three wishes to make this my dream kitchen .. those would be- a vintage look with a bigger space and more storage, a coffee station- yes i looove coffee and experimenting with coffee flavours and a huge kitchen island.
