How did you get started?
My daughter was 8 years old at the time and wanted to visit her aunt in Texas. Being we are from Cleveland, it's not exactly cheap for a round trip. I told her she didn't truly understand the worth of a dollar yet and that she should do something to raise money for herself to buy a ticket. She asked if we could have a bake sale and I told her that was a great idea! We began baking and selling cupcakes to friends and family. People began to say how good they were and suggest I make a Facebook page. I decided to make one and we've grown from there!
Where are you located?
We are located at 437 Bagley Rd in Berea Ohio. You will find us sharing a storefront with a local ice cream shop called MooTown Creamery.
What are your specialities?
I make gourmet cupcakes along with cakes and specialty cakes. I can make your cake look like anything from a minion to a ninja turtle to a chicken!
What's your personal favorite thing on the menu?
Oh geez there are so many good ones. If I had to narrow it down I'd say I am a huge coffee lover so I enjoy the coffee cupcake but the carrot cake and key lime are pretty amazing too.
What's on the stereo?
You'll find me driving with country on but in the store I believe it's set to 104.1.
Where else should we visit in your area?
Definitely grab some ice cream while you visit us I mean what's better than a store with cake and ice cream in the same space! A couple doors down you will find Zachs Steakhouse and I really enjoy their food especially the chicken parm and obviously the steak!
Do you host any special events?
Yes! I work with a local photography company, Photography By Studio Eleven LLC, and we are currently running an event called "Cute As A Cupcake". When you visit www.photographybystudioeleven.com you will find a link to enter a picture of your child ages 0-8 years and there is a chance to win over $700 in prizes!
Is there anything else you'd like us to know?
If there is something you would love to try but don't see it on the menu, please ask! With one bite of that old recipe I can make memories of your grandmother come flooding back!
