How did you get started?

The King George opened in 2016 as York's first modern speakeasy in the underground level of Tutoni's. This small, intimate 20 person bar and lounge features lavish soft seating, extraordinary beverages, and jazzy entertainment all tucked away in an old world Vegas atmosphere. Offering craft cocktails and small plates.

Where are you located?

Underground level of Tutoni's Restaurant
108 N. George St.
York PA 17401

What are your specialities?

Cocktails crafted from scratch using fine ingredients. Twists on prohibition era standards.

What's your personal favorite thing on the menu?

"Smoked" Manhattan, featuring Basil Hayden's bourbon, brown sugar, simple syrup, carpano antica.
Favorite because we char a board and capture the smoke flavor in the bourbon glass. It's a treat for guests to watch.

What's on the stereo?

Live music from jazz to swing to singer-songwriter.

Where else should we visit in your area?

Upstairs at Tutoni's- a farm to table scratch Italian kitchen. Or The Cantina, a Latin-inspired bar & restaurant featuring a beautiful outdoor courtyard bar area.

Do you host any special events?

We have live music once per weekend. We are hosting a Repeal Day party on Dec 5.

Is there anything else you'd like us to know?

Everything at The King George is crafted from scratch. We infuse liquors, make bitters, and juice fruit all to create a top notch concoction. We also offer tapas small plates from our upstairs restaurant, Tutoni's, which also embodies the scratch made, farm-to-table philosophy.
