Make a splash and host a mermaid party in #DIYTheParty with PienderZ.

The winter is almost done! Thank God cause I am done with the winter! So let's celebrate the upcoming summer with a Mermade party! I love the colours of the sea, de shells and the vacationvibe. But I also love fantasy, so I decided to combine these two things. That's how I came up with this Mermaid Party. Give your party colours of blue and green and here and there a splash of red. For more inspiration to lift your party to the next level, check the tutorials I've picked out for jou. Have a great summer!!

We head to Mechanicsville, Virginia to meet #FeaturedMember fetisha who is always wanting to add another crafty project on her to-do list.

How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

I joined so long ago, I can't even remember how I found the site! I was probably surfing around looking for a tutorial on something and found CO+K, fell in love with the site, and immediately became a member :) I want to say that I was looking for ideas of how to refashion old t-shirts, I've been doing projects like that for years.

What projects are you currently working on?

I just finished having a huge Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland-themed costume party for my 30th birthday. I made a lot of stuff for that party, including a Sharpie-colored Treat Stand, a Mushroom cake, several mini top hats, photo booth props, Alice's Um dress, and several other projects. Now that that's over, I'm working on spring cleaning and hopefully getting some mini top hats made- I've been thinking of some ideas that I hope will be great!

We're getting creative with Mackmyra Whisky in this week's #CocktailHour and mixing up a Popcorn Sour, First Footer and curing our own salmon to make Eggs Royale.

Create a jungle themed party in #DIYTheParty with Helen W.

The weather is cold and grey at the moment so I wanted to create a party that would help transport us to more tropical climes. I decided a jungle themed party would be perfect. I'd invite my guests to create their own animal masks or maybe some funky animal print jewellery or a headdress. I'd set the scene with plants, fairy lights and wind chimes to help transport us into a another world inspired by far away lands. Of course, we'd need some snacks and who could resist guacamole or maybe some fruit pizza all washed down with some exotic punch or a super green smoothie for the drivers.

Come behind the scenes at The Cobra Lily for a #CraftRoomTour and see Kate's work area.

It has half a bay window so it has pretty great light at certain times of day.

I'm very proud of my huge cutting table. I built it myself as my first big woodworking project. It's got tons of great storage, it's super sturdy, and it makes cutting fabric for sewing projects quite pleasant!
