Hi there! My name is Samantha however I also go by the pen name of "Violet1202" I'm 24 this year and live in a little country called Singapore(: I've majored in 2D animation, and normally love drawing concept pieces which reflects the essence of love and grace and I also love designing characters! :D

Have you always been creative and artistic?

Well what can I say? I just couldn't put the pencil down, even when I was a tod(: I remember my mother saying I just couldn't go anywhere without a pencil and a piece of paper in my hand.

How would you describe the style of your work?

I guess you can say that I have a little of the "Disney" vibe going on in my work(: I also love illustrating the "cut out style" as I like to give something of a dreamy and simplistic feel.

What’s in your pencil case and what’s your favorite tool?

I have my trusty blue pencil for sketching and of course some brush tip ink pens for lining my work and last but not least, 3 different grey copic markers just in case I'd like to get some shading done(:

Who is your favorite superhero?

Ah oh goodness! there's just so many to choose from! alrighty!
If it's a superhero from the Marvel Universe I'd have to go with Spider Gwen!
(I actually cosplayed as her just last year for a comic con in my country)
If it's from a cartoon I'll just name a few, The Doctor from "Doctor Who" The Powerpuff Girls! Steven from "Steven Universe", Star from "Star VS the Forces of Evil" and Tin Tin from "The Adventures of Tin Tin" Oh oh! and Violet from "The Incredibles"

If you could have one super power what would it be?

Oh this is tricky! hmm, I would love to have the power to bend time and space!

Where do you look for inspiration?

I always look to my favorite artists for inspiration as well as the people around me(: or though what happens in my daily life

Who are your favorite artists or comic book authors?

Wow! I have just too many but I really do love the works from
kyu-bum lee, Amanda MacFarlane, Danielle Pioli, Miranda Yeo
Elioli (Elena (ELI) and Olivia (OLI) Ceballos), Kait Ritter and Barbara Canepa. They are all such an inspiration(:
