We head to Oxford to meet #FeaturedMember Amie D who loves crafts that are short and simple!

How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

I've been a member for so long I can't remember how I found it. I joined it because I wanted to be inspired, and within that inspiration I wanted to be able to better my own skills

What projects are you currently working on?

I'm currently repairing and old patchwork quilt of my nans, it is covered in rips and tears and I love it so I'm just patching over it.

I'm also making loads of paper flowers, I'm going to see if I can teach myself anything new!

Create a cosy baby's nursery in #DIYTheRoom with Maro from Akamatra.

If I could get my 16 month old daughter to sleep in her own room, this is what it would look like. Filled with crochet and knit fluffy things, colorful paintings and lots (lots and lots) of storage! And a colossal squid, cause everyone needs a squid in their room!

Create a budget friendly look for fall in #DIYTheLook with Melissa from The Fashion Huntress.

What I love about this look is that most people have all these items in their home already! You can reinvent and get creative for a relatively low cost. Fashion DIY on the perfect budget is where it’s at for fall!

Create a DIY Craft Room in #DIYTheRoom with Renee.

My dream craft room would be organized and cozy! I love to be able to find what I need, when I need it, and cozy enough for a bit of inspiration! Im a sucker for pretty papers and these organizers would be a perfect way to use them. Now I have to get going and make some of this stuff!!

We're testing out hand-dyed luxury yarns from Anzula in #CraftTest and making some bookmarks, a pencil scarf and shrug for you to recreate at home!

Take a #CraftRoomTour or Carol Ann Waugh's professional artist studio in Denver, Colorado.

I love my studio for many reasons. First, its about 4 miles from my house so it's easy to get to and I can make a mess without having to clean up for company. Making art outside my house allows me to treat my art making like the business it is. I can concentrate, keep regular hours, and make sure I spend a substantial amount of time creating.

Recreate the look of Morticia and Wednesday from the Addams Family in #DIYTheLook with Jennie.

As the weather turns cooler, and the leaves begin to die, I’ve been in the mood to rewatch my favorite Halloween movies. My all time favorite being the Addams Family. I’ve always adored the macabre fun of the Addams clan, especially the ladies of the family. Morticia, the matriarch femme-fatale, able to seduce her husband with just a few French words falling from her ruby painted lips. ‘Oui, mon cher!’ And her daughter Wednesday; disturbingly well-read, brilliant, enthusiastic, and creepy all at the same time, in her classic black dress with the pristine white collar and long braids. So perhaps this Halloween you can take your inspiration from one of the Addams ladies. After all, aren’t we each searching for someone in this world to love us as devotedly as Gomez loves his Morticia?

Book of the Week »

Pocket Amigurumi

Shelf 51i5 vagull

We chat to Sabrina, give you a chance to win the book and learn how-to crochet an Amigurumi Oragai.

My name is Sabrina Somers. I’m 27 years old and I live in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) with my boyfriend Mark and 2 cats named Timmie and Sheila.

Recreate the room of Edward Scissorhands in #DIYTheRoom with Catherine.

Nothing like coming home after a long day of trimming Hedges and cutting hair to all my favorite things. This room makes me happy enough to die.

Create a super feminine flowy outfit in #DIYTheLook with Melissa.

It's a super feminine, flowy look. There's a focus on flowers and corsets. It was something I thought would be comfortable. I thought it would be good for a day out shopping or going out to eat. Not too dressy but would transition well into a fancier venue. It's something I could see Melissa McCarthy wearing.
