Come behind the scenes at Handcrafted Vintage for a #CraftRoomTour and see Rachel's craft corner in Knoxville.

My little craft corner is right beside a large window. I love the natural light that comes through the room throughout the day!

Tell us about your space

My craft space is just a small corner in our home. My husband and I share the room as a work space. I come up with my ideas and create my designs in the space, but the majority of the actual crafting gets done on the couch with Netflix playing in the background. :)

What have you done to make your space cosy, beautiful or inspiring?

I love having vintage pieces on display for inspiration. I find antique treasures to put on display. They add a touch of brightness and inspiration to the room.

How do you keep organized?

With such a small space, I have to work hard to keep everything well organized. I use a variety of decorative baskets and containers to keep everything well organized and on display.

Any tips & tricks for organising supplies?

I avoid clutter at all cost! My biggest piece of advice is to only keep the supplies that you need and know you will use. I used to have a huge yarn stash that just sat there taking up space. I've learned that it's better to keep fewer supplies around and be intentional about what you purchase.

Which are your favourite possessions and are there any of your own creations on display?

Though my website focuses mostly on knit and crochet designs, I love having embroidered pieces on display. I always keep one of my creations on display and switch them out often!

How do you organise your inspiration and ideas?

I have a sketch book that I always keep on hand. It's full of ideas, inspiration and designs. I cannot trust myself to remember everything, so whenever I have a bit of inspiration, I jot it down in that book.

Where do you look for inspiration?

I get inspiration from a variety of places. I love following other bloggers online and on Instagram. I also find a lot of inspiration from antique stores and vintage items. My mom and I spend a lot of time exploring local antique stores and markets. I always find inspiration from the unique items I discover.

If you had three wishes, what would you do to make it the dream space?

With a small space, you'd think I'd wish for a larger work space. But the size actually works well for me. I'm completely in love with my small craft corner and probably wouldn't wish for anything. Other than more yarn. There's always room for more yarn! :)
