Learn how-to knit a double seed cowl and effin scarf in #ShopShowcase with Loops A Yarn Store in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

How did you get started?

I had an ad agency with my husband but I also loved to knit...and when I would walk into yarn stores, they all felt so old-fashioned. It was hard to find anything that I really wanted to make, and hard to get good service. I wrote a business plan for an on-trend, modern yarn store, but couldn't get a lease deal for a couple of years. So I made a cashmere scarf for the owner of the shopping center, and got the deal! Loops has been open for more than a decade now, and we're know for on-trend, effortless, original designs and a huge yarn selection, from affordable to luxury. Our Loops Troops are known around the world for their super-friendly, knowledgeable service. LoopsLove.com is where people go to be inspired by carefully curated projects in the best yarns. And our LoopsClub ships on-trend, effortless projects around the world each month!

Where are you located?

We have one huge, bright, modern, inspiring store at 61st and Yale in Tulsa. It's become a destination for LoopsLove.com and LoopsClub customers from around the world.

Which products do you specialise in?

We have hundreds of Loops Original designs created by our own Loops Troops. We focus on modern designs in luxury yarns that are every bit as pleasurable to knit or crochet as they are to wear or gift. Then we make sure to give people the encouragement and support they need to complete their projects!

Do you have a particular favorite product that you sell?

We are famous for our Effin Scarf, an amazingly simple pattern that never seems to fail and looks gorgeous in all gauges of yarn. And yes, there is a story behind the name! As of this writing, the pattern is available free in a how-to video on Loopsclub.com: http://www.loopsclub.com/pages/videos

What's on the stereo?

Anything modern, happy and fun!

Where else should we visit in your area?

In KingsPointe shopping center: Hideaway for a Pizza of the Gods, Smallcakes cupcakery for a treat, Zen Body for an impromptu yoga class. In Tulsa: In the Raw on the hill for amazing sushi and views, Mahogany's for a prime steak, Glacier for chocolate, Guthrie Green downtown for live entertainment, Brookside for cool local shopping and galleries.

Do you host any workshops, classes or special events?

Twice a year, we throw our legendary Hot Loops parties, where we reveal our new inspiration project wall. We have an extensive class list that changes from month to month - you can find a complete listing on LoopsLove.com/classes. We also host special workshops from time to time. To date, the following stars have visited Loops: Stephen West, StevenBe, Sally Melville, Julie Weisenberger (Cocoknits), Susan B. Anderson, Louisa Harding, Anna Hrachovec (mochimochiland), Lucy Neatby, Nadine Curtis (Be Sweet), Stephanie Japel and Chris Bylsma, to name just a few!

Is there anything else you'd like us to know?

Browse Loops when you really want to treat yourself. And in our humble opinion, your time investment is so valuable that EVERY project should be a treat!
