Mix a Zombie Wedding Cake Shake in #ABiteToEat with Zombie Burger in Des Moines, Iowa.

How did you get started?

Our Chef Partner, George Formaro, is a major horror / zombie fan. When a
burger place came up on our list of places we wanted to open he
suggested the Zombie theme. It took some time for some of us to warm to
the idea but it has been a big hit.

Where are you located?

We are located in Des Moines, Iowa in a historic neighborhood - the East
Village.

What are your specialities?

We serve Goremet Burgers and Brain Freeze Shakes. We have around 26
different burger combinations such as +They are coming to get you
Barbara" which has grilled cheese sandwiches for the buns and the
"Walking Ched" which has macaroni and cheese buns. All of our
sandwiches are can be had with you choice of a beef patty, two types of
vegetation patties, portobello mushroom or chicken breast.

What's your personal favorite thing on the menu?

The classic Zombie Burger or a double cheeseburger.

What's on the stereo?

Everything from metal to the Beatles to Miles Davis.

Where else should we visit in your area?

There are many great shops and restaurants in the East Village. Raygun is
a great apparel shop, Projects has a wonderful selection of contemporary
furniture.

Do you host any special events?

We regularly show horror movies later at night and screen the Walking
Dead every Sunday.

Is there anything else you'd like us to know?

It’s always amazing to see how diverse our demographic is. From local families and teens to touring musicians and visitors from all over the world, Zombie Burger has become a must-visit destination in Des Moines.
