Come behind the scenes at Exodus Treasures for a #CraftRoomTour and see Timia's craft room in her dorm in Alabama.

My favorite thing about my space is that I made it my own. I covered the wooden furniture with white contact paper and my roommate and I have a picture of cow (whom we named Regina Phalange).

Tell us about your space

My craft room is my bedroom, my kitchen, my living room, and my den. It's a "suite style" dorm room. I share it with my super groovy roommate (who's an art minor so I get to borrow all her crafts supplies. booyah). I do all my crafts in here. I usually use my desk, the counter, or the floor for working on my crafts.

What have you done to make your space cosy, beautiful or inspiring?

I actually built a fort under my bed. About one fourth of the space has an ottoman full of yarn and fabric, but the other three fourths hold a chair, a pillow, and blankets. I go down there for privacy and naps. It has some Christmas lights strung up and I think it looks pretty gnarly.

How do you keep organized?

I have very specific rules for my organization. Everything has it's own place. I keep all my stuff in containers hidden throughoutt my room.

Any tips & tricks for organising supplies?

lists are gift from the Lord. (the Bible specifically says children are a gift from the Lord, but I mean my lists are basically my babies right now anyways.)

Which are your favourite possessions and are there any of your own creations on display?

That's a really difficult question, actually. I'm a bit of a hoarder and keep basically everything, but I don't think I have a favorite. If there was a fire, I would probably just sit their and cry and try to get everything out of my room. I currently have my honeycomb watercolor displayed, but I'll probably switch it out for something else later.

How do you organise your inspiration and ideas?

I have a buunch of hidden pinterest boards filled with inspirations for posts. I also keep a notebook or a sheet a paper with me almost at all times so I can jot down ideas (this usually happens is in the middle of class. oops)

Where do you look for inspiration?

Shopping (online and in store) and just by looking around my room. Sometimes I'll see something while I'm out shopping and I'll think "wow, that's super cute! I bet you I could make that;" or if I notice that my room is lacking in something like a soap dish, I'll just make my own!

If you had three wishes, what would you do to make it the dream space?

Wish #1. BIGGER WINDOWS. It can be very dark and dreary in my dorm. My plants die, my pictures don't look as good, and I just like working in the sunlight.

Wish #2. A better fire alarm. My roommate and I have set it off many a time and our dorm mates are beginning to resent us (me). sometimes I like snacking while I'm crafting and I can't bake and make if I'm living in constant fear of my alarm.

Wish #3. More wishes. yeah, I'm that girl. but honestly I would use those wishes to slowly turn my room into an apartment with plenty of crafting space.
