How would you describe your style?

Classic elegance. I love timeless pieces that never go out of style, which means clothes I love to wear can be vintage or new.

What's your favourite piece in your wardrobe?

The mustard yellow Ikebana skirt from Modcloth. It goes with so many colours so I wear it so much. It's the most worn item in my wardrobe and I get comments on it every day.

Who are your style icons?

Jamie Beck from Ann Street Studio, Grace Kelly, Cate Blanchett, Marion Cotillard, Kate Winslet, Princess Mary.

Do you have any favourite designers?

Yeojin Bae, Zimmerman, Alexandra Grecco. And who doesn't love the creations of every French fashion house.

Where are your favourite places to shop for new clothes?

Modcloth usually comes in at number 1. They have a great range of a heap of styles. I also love Review Australia and Cue. Both are Australian brands and their stuff is so chic and elegant. I can't get enough so I sometimes buy the brands second hand to save money.

Do you make or customise your outfits?

I don't often make clothes or outfits anymore, but I am big on customisation. The Modcloth Style Gallery is a great place for inspiration on this. So many women (and men) contribute to the many ways you can style a single item. I am most passionate about customisation by interpretation. How you can I wear this piece differently to others who will wear it? What does the way I wear it say about me?

Do you have any great tips for mixing up and personalising an outfit?

Pinterest. I have boards to look at all the elements that make good style. Some are just for combinations I like, such as combinations of colours or prints or fabrics. I love mixing prints and being bold. Wearing clothes can be so much more than just 'putting a dress on'. If I have time, I like to put the dress on then try everything with it from belts and shoes to scarves and bags and tops and jackets.

Which other fashion blogs do you love to read?

I read Curls and Cakes, Mox and Socks, The Clothes Horse, Eccentric Owl, Ryapie, Laneway Esme among many others!
