Hey crafters!

We've had a fun week at CO+K with a trip to Newcastle, lots of fun things in the mail and plenty of crafting. You can also keep up to date with us on Instagram - just follow us @cutoutandkeep

We started knitting an awesome knit kit from Wool & The Gang. Keep an eye out for the finished result and maybe even a giveaway soon.

We discovered a coffee drive-through in Edinburgh.

We received a box of tentacle looking garlic scapes from The Really Garlicky Company which we turned into pesto.

We visited Edinburgh's trendy new bakery Twelve Triangles and tucked into chocolate cardamon donuts.

Cat baked some liquorice & vodka macaroons with Iordanov Vodka and will be sharing the recipe in a couple of weeks.

We took a mini road-trip to Newcastle, saw a band and even visited The Grove from 90's TV show Byker Grove.

We watched the Millennium Bridge rotate.

We waited for the sea to go out so we could drive to Holy Island.

There was a huge box of crafting goodies from MakersKit waiting for us when we got home.

Our friends had a baby so Cat crocheted him a set of baby converse booties. Pattern coming soon.

We cooked some super chunky non-meaty Beetroot, Feta & Olive Burgers. Try out the recipe here.

Have you had any adventures this week?

Happy crafting,
Crafterella, Cat & Tom xoxo

Emma recreates the geeky office of Maurice Moss from the set of the IT Crowd.

I love the IT Crowd office as it is a colourful and fun working space. It has all the essential office equipment but it is also filled with geeky memorabilia, gadgets and great wall art. I would feel very comfortable working there and enjoying these geek chic surroundings.

My name is Marie Gardeski. I am an artist living in Indiana. I grew up in the Mitten (Grand Rapids, MI, to be exact), received my BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and my MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. I live 44 feet above street level in The Museum of Imaginary Animals (a rambling, south facing 100+ year old apartment) where I share a sunny studio with my favorite person and artist, David Birkey. At my toy-strewn desk I create delicately detailed drawings of seemingly sweet subjects in strange (and sometimes slightly scary) situations. I also design fabrics featuring hand-drawn plants, animals and miscellaneous doodles. My husband and I are the team behind the brand/shop Imaginary Animal.

Des Moines is a great place to be a crafter, with inspiration all around! Des Moines is so awesome because it has the energy of a metropolis while also maintaining a down to earth vibe with rich parks and rivers. Downtown Des Moines sits at the crossroads of two major rivers, the Des Moines and Raccoon Rivers. So it is really the best of both worlds because there is city living with nature around every turn.

Come behind the scenes at Mill Lane Studio and tour Myléne's studio & office in Brisbane, Australia.

The storage! I'm so lucky to have a wall of custom built cupboards - both underbench and overhead. Most of my general craft supplies are stored in plastic tubs which fit perfectly inside these cupboards which keeps the room clutter free. All my jewellery making supplies are kept in the mobile storage units which line two of the other walls. I use the top of these units for displaying my jewellery.

Christine from Rhinestic's Knick Knacks recreates the best dressed style of actress Scarlett Johansson.

Scarlett Johansson has come a long way from being a shy teenage actress to a talented A-lister. Her style has also evolved and she has come to be known as one of the best dressed actresses for red carpet events. Scarlett knows her curves, and selects outfits which accentuate them without being overly revealing. I love the outfit that was chosen for her for the Elle UK photoshoot. It was a minimalist number that looked modern and chic without detracting away from the "Scarlet Johansson" feel.
